Intelligent Virtual Agents or Chatbots of various kinds have been around for well over 10 years. Like many other technologies, they didn't quite live up to their initial promise.

At Scientio we've decided that they are due for a renaissance and we've got new technology and new ideas that can revitalize them.

We’ve taken a standard state of the art ‘chatbot’ based on the AIML language, and have started adding new features based on ConceptMine technology. We’re already planning how to dramatically overhaul the fairly basic functionality AIML gives.

What we want to do with this micro-site is offer you the chance to be involved in the development of the bot. Your interactions will be recorded, though your identity will be hidden, and used to make the Bot better. If you are curious, or even work for a rival company, you’ll be able to see how our product improves over time.

To this end we have created a web service that you can access to communicate with our bot. Use of this web service is currently free, though we reserve the right to charge in future. You can build your own interface to this and use it on your own site. The web service supports multiple personalities, so you can generate a customized Bot for your site or application.

We are adding features like product recommendation, so you will be able to use this Bot to generate revenue if you have the appropriate web service keys for Amazon and others.
