Fulfillment
Payment processing is handled by our fulfillment company. They will not pass to us your credit card details. When you complete the transaction the fulfillment company will notify our licensing service and will automatically send you an email containing a receipt.
Support
We offer free online, email and telephone support for all our products for one year from purchase, except for evaluation versions, where the support lasts only for the period of the evaluation
Licensing
Each license is for one CPU only. A Commercial version will run on server and professional operating systems. Developer versions are intended only to assist development. Where any commercial use is intended a Commercial license must be purchased irrespective of the software platform
Discounted student or academic versions
Where we offer a student version of our products we will require documentary evidence of student or faculty status via fax or email-attached scan before purchase. We will then supply you with an electronic coupon that can be used during the purchasing process. The intended use of the software must be pure research rather than administrative or commercial. Scientio must be referenced and credited in documentation or papers created from any academic work performed using our software and a copy of these papers should be sent to Scientio.
Email marketing
If you agree to be contacted by Scientio we will send you from time to time details of new products and enhancements to existing products. We will not give your email address to any other companies. If you do not agree we will still send confirmation of transactions to you by email, but no other information
Source code escrow
Scientio's policy is to lodge source code with a respected third party on request. You may, for a fee, register to have access to the source code in the unlikely event of Scientio ceasing to trade or develop or maintain a software product, thus protecting your investment. Warranty
Scientio warrants that our products will perform substantially as described in their published specifications. If any material departures from the specification are reported to Scientio LLC within [ninety (90)] days of the supply of our products, Scientio LLC will at its option attempt to correct or work round errors, supply an amended version of the products or refund the License fee and terminate the licensing agreement.
Liability
It is your responsibility to ensure that our products are suitable for your needs, which Scientio LLC is unable to anticipate, and Scientio LLC therefore excludes liability for all direct or consequential losses resulting from your use of our products. This limitation shall apply even if Scientio LLC has been advised of the possibility of such
loss.
Maintenance and support
Scientio LLC offers 1 (one) year's free product maintenance and support by email or telephone, including free upgrades to any new versions of the software issued during that period on any sales of our own software. Subsequent year's maintenance and support can be provided at 30% of the initial sale value. Payment should be received within 30 days of the end of the year or a restart fee may be charged.
